ITAA are delighted to announce the launch of a new DIT accredited travel Diploma for 2009. The Association is now in a position to give a huge boost to continuous professional development amongst members, by officially certifying the expertise and professionalism that ITAA participants secure with a third level college.
The new ‘Travel Professionals Certificate’ is mapped and recognised as level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), also known as ‘CPD Diploma’ level, which carries international credibility as well as credits (ECTS 5) towards further third level study.
Curriculum:
The Travel Professionals Certificate consists of six full day training courses assessed by either exam or presentation depending on the topic and also a written individual reflective paper (40% of total marks) The topic is the changing environment for travel industry in Ireland, researching a new product – what’s involved in the process, new market opportunities for the travel industry in Ireland. All students will have access to the DIT online library and will receive a DIT student card.
